MiCAN would love to see more of our fruit and vegetables grown locally. They love supporting local growers, and would love to see their work supplemented by community groups growing food in community gardens.
MiCAN's very own Emily has already started a community veg garden on the verge outside her house. It was really easy to get permission to do this. You can find out how to do it by signing up at Incredible Edible. You could also get in touch with COPSE, a local group who help people plant community orchards.
If starting a community garden in your street sounds too daunting, or even unnecessary, go to their film screening on 24th August to see why locally grown food is so important and get inspired to make a start yourself!
6pm at the Memorial Hall in Midhurst.
