Owners of listed buildings and those in the conservation area may think that there is nothing they can do to improve the energy-efficiency of their homes. This is not the case. While there may be additional permissions required (such as listed buildings consent) and the materials used should be sympathetic to the character of the building, there are lots of things that homeowners can do to improve the warmth and comfort of their homes.
