Big news - PeCAN are bringing a Repair Café to Petersfield - and it starts in March! On the fourth Saturday of each month you will be able to bring your broken items from home to the Repair Café at the Avenue Pavilion, and receive help with mending them.
Repair Cafés are free meeting places focussed on repairing things, together. You’ll find tools and materials to help you make repairs - to clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, and more. You’ll also find a mix of expert and skilled amateur volunteers, with repair capabilities in all kinds of fields.
28 million tonnes of waste is generated by UK households each year, but the Hampshire Repair Café Network of 28 cafés has so far measured 41 tonnes of waste and 296 tonnes of CO2 emissions prevented. Imagine what more we can do...
Find out more about the initiative and what to expect here. And, starting on Saturday March 28th, please come along between 1.30-3.30pm!

Due to popular demand, we are bringing back our monthly evening gatherings!
Please join us for PeCAN at the Pub on the last Wednesday of the month in The Folly Bar (find us in the area to the right of the bar, ahead of you as you walk in).
We hope that offering a monthly evening gathering will enable those who have been unable to attend our Tuesday morning Eco Cafe to join us. We welcome anyone and everyone who is interested in our environment and concerned about the climate crisis. We are a positive, solutions-based bunch, and we look forward to meeting you.
The gathering relocates to the Folly Upstairs on a bimonthly basis, to become a Volunteers Evening. These are in January, March, May, September, and November (with a Summer Party July/Aug and a Christmas Party in December). Everyone is welcome! Order a drink at the Folly Bar if you'd like one, and then join us upstairs for a short presentation followed by breakout groups and brainstorming.

PeCAN is pleased to offer you the opportunity to visit a local ‘Warm Open Home’ to speak to the homeowner directly about the energy saving improvements they have made. You can look at the technology, ask residents about the installation process, and find out how much they are really saving on their energy bills as a result.
A selection of open homes available to visit are listed here. All visits must be pre-booked. To visit a home, click on the booking link button. You can also view Petersfield Warm Open Homes on the Green Open Homes website.
We are also offering you the opportunity to benefit from face-to-face home energy advice. Keep an eye on our events page for upcoming opportunities and make sure to book a place!

Our aim is to provide students of all ages with knowledge, understanding, and skills to help them navigate the future with resilience, confidence and wisdom. We want to empower them to make planet-friendly choices themselves, and enable them to amplify their voices in explaining those choices to others. Over the past two years we have delivered more than 100 transformative (and free) assemblies and workshops, reaching over 5,000 children, but with your help we could do much more.
