Lots of Petersfield residents stopped for a chat at our stall in the Farmers' Market in the Town Square on 6th June to celebrate our public launch, from children and shoppers to the new Mayor of Petersfield. Passers by stopped to chat with volunteers, read about climate change and protecting nature in our area, and put their name on the list for a specialised Whole Home Retrofit Assessment.
What would it take for Petersfield to become carbon neutral? What would it mean for the average household? Meeting the Paris Agreement targets in our town would mean each household cutting around one tonne of carbon emissions every year for around a decade. Is it feasible? We think it is – here’s how.
