In collaboration with Visit Petersfield, PeCAN are holding a photography competition to celebrate all that is being done in Petersfield and the surrounding areas to help nature and mitigate climate change.

It is up to you to decide what you think best represents this, but we suggest you look at the themes of this year’s Eco Fair (to be held on Petersfield Heath on Sunday 14th July) which are:

• Nature – restoring and increasing biodiversity
• Low Waste Living - refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle
• Travel - active travel and public transport
• Energy - renewable home and community energy
• Community - local resilience to climate change

Who can enter?

The competition will be divided into three categories:

• Adult – over 18s
• Youth – 11-18 years
• Junior – under 11s

It is open to amateur and professional photographers.

 

How to enter

To enter the competition please complete the form below and upload your photo(s) by midnight on June 23rd 2024 (no entries will be entered for judging after this date).

Please include:

• 1-3 high quality images (must be at least 300dpi in .jpg format)
• First and last name
• Contact information
• Any social media handles eg @PeCAN or @visitpetersfield (if you want to be tagged when we share images on social media)

 

Prizes

A prize will be awarded to the winning entry in each category and the winning images will be displayed at Petersfield Eco Fair on Sunday 14th July and on both PeCAN and Visit Petersfield websites.

 

Terms and Conditions

By entering the competition, you accept the following Terms and Conditions:

The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers of all ages, but if you are under 18 you must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to enter.

You will not submit any images that are obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist or discriminatory.

If your image features photographs of children under the age of 18, you must have their parent/guardian's legal consent for the image to be published.

We reserve the right to examine any or all legal consents.

Visit Petersfield and PeCAN reserve the right to refuse images they consider unsuitable in any way.

By entering, you confirm that:

• You are the sole author of each entry and that it is your original work.
• You own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of each image.
• You have the permission of those pictured in the image (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent or guardian) for the image to be published and indemnify Visit Petersfield and PeCAN against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement.
• You agree to participate in any post-competition publicity as requested by PeCAN and Visit Petersfield.
• By entering the competition, you grant Visit Petersfield and PeCAN a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit the images on any media platforms.

The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of images entered into the competition. You will retain full copyright for your image and, wherever possible, will be credited if your artwork is published by Visit Petersfield or PeCAN.
