Inspired by River Action's 'March For Clean Water' in London on Sunday 3rd November - which will call for our rivers to be rescued, the sea to be saved, and water pollution to end - we are offering a guided walk around Rotherlands Nature Reserve.
This short walk (with stops to talk with local experts from Western Sussex Rivers Trust, Eco Rother Action and PeCAN) will be an opportunity to explore a Petersfield habitat, identify some key species and learn about the water quality and health of Tilmore Brook and the River Rother - including the effects of pollution, erosion and invasive species on both us and the precious ecosystem that these watercourses support.
Most importantly, you will find out what you can do to make a difference.
Pathways are width restricted, muddy and slippery, so wellingtons are highly recommended and the walk might not be suitable for young children. We also request no dogs. There will be short periods of standing and listening to the experts, and it being late October the event is subject to last minute cancellation if the forecast looks prohibitive.
Capacity is limited so please book a free place here!
