Join us for a short walk at Goodyer Meadows at the end of Great Big Green Week.
We will talk about the health of the Criddell stream - considering water quality and invasive species. We will look out for the variety of riverflies, try to identify dragonflies and damselflies, wildflowers and lichens. We will also consider the archaeology and geology of the site, including ancient ditches and sluices.
Veronica Carter from Eco Rother Action will tell us about Invasive Non-Native Species, Keir Smith from Western Sussex Rivers Trust will outline water sampling and quality, Elizabeth Eveleigh from the Bumble Bee Conservation Society will help us identify bumblebees, and PeCAN Trustee for Nature Recovery Melanie Oxley will tell us about the flora to be found on the site.
This walk will be short in distance but big in content!
Meet at the gate to the horse's field for a short nature walk at Goodyer Meadows.
