Butterfly Conservation's Big Butterfly Count runs from 18th July until 10th August. By taking part in this UK wide survey, you can help assess the health of our environment simply by counting butterflies.
You only have to watch for butterflies for 15 minutes - so everyone can find time to do it! Find identification sheets and upload your results on their website, or download the free app.
You can take part individually or join Alf Smallbone, Petersfield's Butterfly Recorder, at Merritts Meadow Nature Reserve in Petersfield to identify and count butterflies together.
Meet at the top of North Road at 11.30am or join the group in the meadow later.
