The Great Big Green Week starts on the 24th of September and we have been busy collating and organising a great programme of events with local businesses, to celebrate community action on climate change. Read on for more information about the events happening in Petersfield and details of how you can sign up.

Beaded Jewellery Repair Café from PeCAN


In the spirit of 'make do and mend' for Green Week, Vicky of Coffee Pod Creations is offering to fix and repair beaded jewellery at our weekly Eco Cafe. Bring your broken beaded necklaces, bracelets or earrings to be repaired!

Reducing Your Home Energy Bills - Talk and Q&A from PeCAN 


An informal, interactive and engaging evening where PeCAN will offer both short and long term measures to reduce your home energy consumption as well as introducing the Petersfield Area SuperHomes project as an option to reduce your bills and your carbon footprint.

Lichens: Biodiversity at the Heart of Petersfield from Petersfield Area Lichen Enthusiasts


A short walk and exploration of the lichens of the town centre. Lichens on trees, lichens on stone in St Peter’s Churchyard, lichens for all! Have a look at some of our smallest but loveliest residents. Magnifying glasses provided.

Make Your Own Coffee Pod Jewellery Beads from Coffee Pod Creations


In this workshop Vicky will show you how to make beads from aluminium coffee pods. She will guide you through the whole process from start to finish and will show you how to make a beautiful and upcycled piece of jewellery that you can wear with pride, or give as a gift.

Car Boot Sale from Petersfield Town Council & PeCAN


Petersfield Town Council supported by PeCAN are holding a car boot sale with the theme 'reduce, reuse, recycle'. Pitches are FREE within the Freecycle area or £5 if you wish to charge for your items. You will find PeCAN hosting a 'climate info cafe' at the event.
