Schools Challenges & Competitions:
Calling all junior sewers and creators who like a challenge...
Key Stage 1: Eco Posters
Produce a poster about how you can travel better, look after nature better, mend and reuse more, or use energy at home better. With or without writing, either in groups or individually. Use any mixed media you like!
Key Stage 2: Earth Friendly Flags
No limit to creativity on these! Use repurposed fabric, card or paper, paint or collage, just pictures or with words or poetry. Celebrate the idea of planet friendly living. Group or individual entries. Flags to be no bigger than 30cm squared for individual entries, group efforts can be larger.
Secondary:
'Fibres for the Future' - recycle/repurpose/reimagine textiles into something wearable or useable in some other way. These will be displayed or modelled in a short fashion show in the main marquee at 1.30pm.
'Transformers: Making Materials Matter' - an invitation to those who prefer to work with wood, metal or plastics to transform waste into something useful or beautiful or both!
Entries will be displayed in our marquee, and there will be PRIZES for those deemed best at delivering the 'reuse' message or matching the theme.
To enter, either apply through your school or email: [email protected] sending a photo of what you have made. But HURRY, the closing date is Wednesday 13th July!
If you don't finish in time you can still enter your Eco Poster or Earth Friendly Flag on the day of the fair. Make sure you submit your entry by midday. These will be judged separately to those submitted prior to the event.
