The biggest change is that your heating will be electrified, to allow for the energy to come from renewable rather than fossil fuel sources. The experts at Energy Saving Trust have taken a typical, three-bedroom semi-detached home and looked at a whole-house upgrade.
They first list the various upgrades, then outline how the individual elements interact. They also consider what the monthly cost of this energy efficient future home might be, how much you might be able to save, and also how much carbon could be saved over a year.
