Would you like to help Petersfield Climate Action Network in our efforts to decarbonise Petersfield?
We have a new part-time Retrofit Adviser position available, which would suit someone with an interest in home energy and supporting local people to understand how their homes could be made more energy-efficient.
Applications should be sent via email to [email protected] to arrive by 9am on Monday 13th January. Interviews are planned for the week commencing 20th January.
With thanks to support from the EHDC Grow Up! Community Fund we hope to plant 700 fruit and nut trees this planting season across East Hampshire - but we need your help! Would you like to plant a fruit tree in your garden?
Each bare root fruit tree costs just £12.50 and comes with a stake and instructions on how to plant. These trees usually cost between £25 - £35, but you can buy them at a heavily subsidised price.
Varieties available this year include apple, pear, plum, greengage, cherry, apricot and filbert (similar to hazel and cob). There is a limited stock of each type - so get in quick!
If you choose to collect from Petersfield Community Garden on Saturday 22nd Feb you will also benefit from free expertise and advice on offer at our Festival of Trees.
Order your trees nowOn Tuesday 28th January we will be collaborating with Bedales School to bring you a screening of the British soil health film Six Inches of Soil.
The film tells the inspiring story of British farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food - to heal the soil, benefit our health and provide for local communities. The film screening will be followed by a discussion with a panel of local experts.
Tickets are £5 each, and you can book your place here.
